Washers are essential fastening components used in conjunction with bolts, screws and threaded rod to improve load distribution and protect mating surfaces. By increasing the bearing area under a fastener head or nut, they help reduce surface damage and improve joint stability.
Available across a wide size range, they are suitable for both light-duty and heavy-duty fastening applications in construction and engineering environments.
• Flat washer design for even load distribution
• Helps protect surfaces from damage during tightening
• Reduces risk of loosening and pull-through
• Compatible with bolts, screws and threaded rod
• Suitable for a wide range of mechanical applications
• Available in corrosion-resistant finishes
Flat washers are thin, circular components designed to sit between a fastener head (or nut) and the surface being fixed. Their primary function is to spread the load of the fastener over a larger area, reducing stress concentration and helping to prevent damage to softer or thinner materials.
They are widely used in structural, mechanical and general construction applications where reliable and stable fastening is required. In addition to load distribution, washers can also help reduce vibration, improve joint alignment and act as spacers where required.
Washers are commonly used alongside bolts, nuts, and threaded rod in applications such as steelwork assembly, pipe support systems, machinery installation and general fabrication work.
Available in sizes from M6 to M27, they are suitable for a broad range of fastening requirements. Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) washers are ideal for general indoor use, while Hot Dip Galvanised (HDG) washers provide enhanced corrosion resistance for external or exposed environments.
Ideal for use in structural steelwork, mechanical assemblies, pipe supports, construction frameworks and general fastening applications where load distribution and surface protection are required.
