Thru Bolts are high-strength mechanical expansion anchors used for fastening structural and non-structural components directly into solid substrates such as concrete and masonry. Installed through the fixture itself, they provide a fast, reliable and high-load fixing solution.
Commonly used across construction, M&E and structural installations, they are ideal where a strong, permanent anchor point is required with minimal installation complexity.
• Torque-controlled expansion anchor design
• Through-fixing installation for speed and accuracy
• High load-bearing performance in solid substrates
• Suitable for concrete, brick and masonry
• Supplied complete with nut and washer
• Quick installation with standard tools
• Available in corrosion-resistant finishes
Thru Bolts operate on a simple but highly effective expansion principle. The anchor is inserted through the fixture and into a pre-drilled hole, where tightening the nut draws an expansion cone into a metal sleeve. This forces the sleeve to expand against the sides of the hole, creating a strong mechanical lock within the base material.
This through-fix method allows the fixture itself to act as the alignment guide during installation, improving accuracy and reducing installation time compared to separate anchor systems.
Thru Bolts are widely used in structural steelwork, mechanical installations and general construction applications where secure anchoring into concrete or masonry is required. Their high load capacity makes them suitable for both medium and heavy-duty fixing requirements.
The design ensures consistent performance when correctly installed, while allowing immediate load application in many use cases. They are typically used where reliability, speed of installation and structural integrity are all critical factors.
Available in Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) for general internal or mildly exposed environments, and Zinc Flake coated versions for enhanced corrosion resistance in more demanding or external conditions.
Ideal for fixing structural steel, brackets, channel systems, cable trays, handrails, machinery, pipe supports and general construction components into concrete, brick and masonry substrates.
