Product Description

Spring Toggles – Wings Only are an all-metal cavity fixing designed to provide a strong and reliable anchoring point in hollow base materials. The fixing consists of spring-loaded wings that fold to pass through a pre-drilled hole and automatically expand once inside the cavity, distributing the load over a wider area to improve strength and stability.

 
Supplied without screws, these M10 toggle wings are intended for use with suitable threaded rod, machine screws, or eye bolts, allowing installers to select the correct length and configuration for their specific application. This makes them particularly effective where thicker materials are involved or where custom fixing lengths are required.

 
Once installed, the fixing provides a secure anchor for suspended systems such as pipework, cable trays, ducting and lighting. With a typical hole diameter of 25mm and a recommended tensile load of approximately 0.8 kN, they offer dependable performance across a wide range of building services and construction applications.

 
It is important to note that, as with all wing-type toggles, the fixing is not retained in the cavity if the threaded element is removed, so care should be taken during installation and maintenance.

Installation

1. Drill the required hole diameter (typically 25mm) into the base material. 
2. Attach the spring toggle wings to the threaded rod or fixing.
3. Fold the wings and insert them through the hole into the cavity.
4. Allow the wings to expand behind the material and tighten the fixing to secure in place.

Applications

Ideal for use in plasterboard, hollow concrete slabs, hollow blocks and similar cavity materials, particularly for suspended ceilings, pipework, cable containment, ducting and general building services installations where a strong cavity fixing is required.
