QAD Touch Up Red Oxide is a high-quality alkyd-based metal primer designed for general maintenance, fabrication touch-up and corrosion protection of steel surfaces. Supplied in a 5 litre tin, it is intended for brush application in workshop, site and industrial environments where durable protective coating is required.

Product Description 

QAD Touch Up Red Oxide (C3471 / P0081) is a traditional industrial metal primer formulated for protecting steelwork and fabricated components from corrosion. Based on a modified alkyd resin system, it provides a tough, durable coating that adheres well to properly prepared metal surfaces.

 
Once applied, it forms a dense protective layer that helps inhibit rust formation and extends the service life of steel components in both internal and semi-exposed environments. It is commonly used as a touch-up primer in fabrication workshops, maintenance operations, and site repairs where welded joints, cut edges, and damaged coatings require re-protection.

 
The coating dries to a firm, matt finish that can be overcoated with a wide range of industrial enamels and topcoats once fully cured. Its formulation is designed for ease of application by brush, offering good coverage and flow characteristics for larger surface areas in a 5 litre format.
