Description

Borusan Mannesmann Medium Tube is manufactured for use across a wide range of pipework systems, including fire sprinkler installations, HVAC systems and general mechanical services. Designed to provide a balance of strength, workability and cost-efficiency, it is a commonly specified solution for medium-duty applications.

The tube is available in two standard finishes. Red Oxide provides a base protective coating typically used where additional finishing or internal installation is planned, while Galvanised tube offers enhanced corrosion resistance, making it suitable for exposed or more demanding environments.

 
To suit different installation methods, the tube can be supplied with a range of end preparations. Plain End (PE) tube is suitable for welding, grooving or further processing on site. Screwed & Socketed (S/S) tube is pre-threaded and supplied with a socket, allowing for quick assembly without additional machining. Grooved Both Ends (GBE) tube is prepared for use with mechanical grooved couplings, enabling fast and efficient installation, particularly in fire protection systems.

 
The specified wall thickness (T) defines the strength and pressure capability of the tube, ensuring suitability for different system requirements. Manufacturing tolerances are controlled to maintain consistency in diameter, wall thickness and overall mass. The tolerance on out-of-roundness is included within the diameter tolerance, ensuring proper fit and compatibility with fittings and couplings.

 
For welded tubes within the M and H series, wall thickness tolerance is typically within ±10%, while mass tolerance is approximately ±7.5% on large bundle quantities. These tolerances ensure practical consistency while maintaining manufacturing efficiency and compliance with industry expectations.
