Lindapter Alphawedges

Lindapter Alpha Wedges provide a highly efficient and reliable method of securing threaded rod to trapezoidal decking profiles and re-entrant channels. Designed to eliminate the need for welding or drilling, they offer a safe, adjustable and load-bearing fixing solution widely used in mechanical, electrical and construction installations.

 
The system works by mechanically locking into the decking profile, creating a strong connection point for suspended services such as pipework, cable trays, and HVAC systems.

Product Description

Our Lindapter Alpha Wedges are designed for fast and secure installation into trapezoidal decking and re-entrant channel profiles, providing a strong mechanical fixing point without the need for drilling or welding. This makes them an ideal solution for modern steel frame construction where speed, safety, and flexibility are essential.

 
Each assembly consists of a pre-galvanised locking plate and a malleable iron wedge finished in bright zinc plating (BZP). The locking plate provides a stable bearing surface, while the wedge engages directly with the internal profile of the decking to create a secure mechanical lock when rotated and tightened.

 
Once installed, the system allows threaded rod or suspension components to be safely supported from the structure, making it suitable for a wide range of building services installations.

Installation Guide

1. Pre-assemble the locking plate and wedge (flat surface facing upwards) onto the threaded rod. 
2. Insert the wedge into the re-entrant channel of the decking and rotate it 90° to engage.
3. Slide the locking plate up the threaded rod and over the wedge to secure it in position within the channel.
4. Tighten the lock nut beneath the plate to fully secure the assembly in place.

Applications

Ideal for suspended services in steel-framed buildings, including pipework, electrical containment, HVAC systems, and general building services where secure, adjustable fixing points are required without penetrating or damaging structural steelwork.
