The Internal Beam Clamp is a heavy-duty clamp designed to provide a dependable, adjust-friendly fixing point on structural steel members without welding or drilling. Supplied in pairs and finished with hot-dipped galvanisation (HDG) for enhanced corrosion protection, these clamps are suitable for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general construction support applications. They are particularly useful for attaching support channels, threaded rod, or brackets to I-beams, columns, and other steelwork.

Key Features

• Supplied in pairs for balanced, secure support
• Hot-dipped galvanised (HDG) finish for external and internal corrosion resistance
• Designed for internal clamping to steel beams and columns
• Compatible with standard threaded rod, brackets, and channel hardware

In-Depth Description

The Internal Beam Clamp is engineered to provide secure, non-welded anchor points directly into structural steelwork, such as I-beams, H-beams, and columns. Each clamp in the pair attaches internally to the beam flange, using a clamping mechanism that grips the steel securely when tightened, eliminating the need for drilling holes or welding — reducing installation time and preserving structural integrity.

The clamps are manufactured from high-strength steel and finished with hot-dipped galvanisation (HDG), delivering a durable protective coating that resists rust and corrosion in both indoor and outdoor environments. The HDG finish makes these clamps suitable for plant rooms, exposed structural steel supports, coastal environments, warehouse installations, and other demanding settings where ordinary plated fixings would deteriorate prematurely.

The P3087 design accommodates standard support hardware — including threaded rod, channel arms, and bracket fixings — allowing installers to create secure support points for pipework, conduit, cable trays, ductwork, or restraint systems. When used in pairs, they provide balanced clamping force and distribute loads more evenly, improving stability and reducing stress on clamped surfaces.

Typical applications include

• Attaching support channels to I-beam flanges and steel columns
• Supporting suspended pipework, conduit, and cable management systems
• Providing anchor points for mechanical and electrical support frameworks
• Facilitating adjustable, non-welded connections in construction and industrial installations

Installation

Position the beam clamp pair on opposite sides of the beam flange, align to the required elevation, and tighten the clamping bolts until the clamps grip the beam securely. Once fixed, threaded rod or channel arms can be attached to provide support to downstream services. Use appropriate washers under nuts where necessary to improve torque distribution and protect component surfaces.

With its HDG corrosion protection, robust construction, and compatibility with common support hardware, the Internal Beam Clamp delivers a reliable, non-destructive fixing solution for professional installers working with structural steel.
