Product Description

Silka Toggles are engineered to provide a dependable fixing solution for suspending services from trapezoidal sheet structures. The system operates by inserting the toggle through a pre-formed hole in the sheet, where it engages and locks into position, creating a secure anchor point for threaded rod assemblies.

 
Each unit is manufactured from electro-galvanised steel and incorporates an elastomer gasket with a Hypalon washer. This washer provides effective sealing of the installation hole, offering resistance to weathering and helping to prevent moisture ingress—an important safety feature in exposed or regulated environments.

 
The threaded rod design allows for straightforward height adjustment during installation, enabling accurate positioning of suspended services such as pipework, cable containment or ventilation systems. Once installed, the rod is secured to prevent it from being fully unscrewed, ensuring long-term stability and safety.

 
These toggles are particularly suited to fixing pipes up to a nominal bore of NB50 directly to trapezoidal sheet in accordance with VdS and FM standards. For applications outside of these standards, or where larger loads are required, multiple toggle fixings can be used in conjunction with crossbars to safely distribute the load.

 
With a nominal load capacity of 0.8 kN per fixing point, Silka Toggles offer a robust and compliant solution for a wide range of building services applications.

Installation

Installation requires a pre-drilled hole in the trapezoidal sheet using the appropriate hole saw: LS 22 for M8 and LS 25 for TD10. Once inserted, the toggle engages within the sheet and can be adjusted via the threaded rod before being secured in position.
