CPVC unions are used to connect two sections of CPVC pipe while allowing the system to be easily disassembled for maintenance or modification. Unlike solvent-welded fittings, a union provides a mechanical connection that can be separated without cutting pipework, making it ideal for serviceable installations.
Manufactured from high-quality CPVC, they offer excellent resistance to corrosion, heat and chemical exposure, and are widely used in fire protection and water distribution systems.
• Socket x socket union design for CPVC pipe systems
• Allows quick disconnection for maintenance or system changes
• Durable, corrosion-resistant CPVC construction
• Secure sealing via internal sealing ring/O-ring system
• Suitable for fire sprinkler and water-based systems
• Lightweight and easy to install without specialist tools
CPVC unions are designed to join two lengths of pipe while providing a breakable joint that can be undone when required. The fitting typically consists of two socket ends that are solvent welded to the pipe, combined with a central union nut and sealing arrangement that creates a tight, leak-resistant connection when assembled.
This design allows sections of pipework, valves, or equipment to be removed or serviced without disturbing the surrounding system, significantly reducing maintenance downtime. Once assembled, the union provides a secure seal suitable for pressurised systems, while still allowing controlled disassembly when needed.
Manufactured from CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride), these fittings offer strong resistance to corrosion, scaling and a wide range of chemicals, making them suitable for long-term use in both commercial and industrial environments. CPVC is widely used in fire sprinkler systems due to its reliability, ease of installation and proven performance in pressure applications.
The smooth internal bore helps maintain flow efficiency, while the union design ensures system flexibility without compromising integrity. This makes CPVC unions particularly valuable in installations where components such as valves, pumps or filters may require periodic removal or replacement.
Ideal for use in fire sprinkler systems, HVAC installations, water distribution networks and general CPVC pipework where removable, serviceable pipe connections are required.
